For 25 years, Löfbergs Arena has been at the heart of unforgettable experiences in Karlstad. Since its opening in 2001, the arena has been the venue for dramatic Swedish Championship finals, major television productions and concerts featuring some of the world’s biggest artists – from Elton John and Bob Dylan to Roxette and Dolly Parton. The arena has become a natural meeting place where sport, culture and music bring people together, generation after generation.

Now it’s time to celebrate 25 fantastic years with an evening like no other. The anniversary will be marked with an exclusive concert featuring Carola, one of Sweden’s most beloved artists, who will be performing at Löfbergs Arena with Jag är Carola – a unique musical life story. As part of the anniversary celebrations, Carola will also be accompanied by the Wermland Opera Orchestra.

On 8 September, to coincide with her 60th birthday, Carola Häggkvist is releasing her first book. In her autobiography Jag är Carola, which recounts her upbringing and her life up to 2002, Carola tells her own story for the very first time. As an extension of the book launch, it has now been confirmed that this autumn she will also embark on an extensive tour of the Nordic region to meet her audience.

During the concert, Carola, accompanied by pianist Will Oaks, shares the music and stories that have shaped her life. According to Carola herself, it will be “intimate and personal, but above all very exclusive”, as she performs songs that one might not usually hear at a Carola concert, such as “Krokodilbarnets längtan” and Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream”, interspersed with much-loved classics such as “Främling”, ‘Säg mig var du står’ and ‘Fångad av en stormvind’.

A unique anniversary concert that will become yet another memorable chapter in the history of Löfbergs Arena.
